Do I need to let my computer "read" through the entire data file before I do anything. I do have to copy it over to my working file but even without opening my working file, only the data file can crash my computer. This is only data direct from my internal systems. I dont even know if that is possible but when I open the excel sheet and I copy and paste it usually just crashes while on excel 2010 they can do it quite fast, open it copy open another new workbook and paste it without any problem. It seems like I need to open the data file and press f9 to calculate and then wait a while for the computer to familiarize itself with the excel sheet before I can copy and paste. Normally when you insert an Excel Slicer it is only connected to the Pivot Table that you are inserting it from. Connect Slicers to Multiple Excel Pivot Tables.
